C’est en tant que 2ème single de MADAME X que sort le titre CRAVE, interprète par Madonna en collaboration avec Swae LEE. Inspirée du fado, cette ballade hip hop parle du désir et de l’envie d’un amour qui s’enfuit. Le titre, qui fut le premier que Madonna ait composé pour l’album MADAME X, a reçu une excellente critique et a permit à Madonna de classer son 49ème numéro 1 au Dance Club Songs aux USA.
Cette chanson est accompagnée d’un clip très élégant et très madonnesque, réalisé par Nuno XICO. Alternant entre couleur et noir est blanc, il met tour à tour en scène Madonna et Swae Lee chantant sur les toits de New York, Madonna dansant dans un entrepôt ou encore libérant un pigeon voyageur.
