Pour son 4ème single extrait d’Erotica, Madonna sort une reprise du titre de 1956 de Little Willie John, FEVER ! En réalité, Madonna reprend plus particulièrement la version-interprétée en 1958 par Peggy Lee et qui rencontra un très succès ! Pour sa reprise, Madonna se classe honorablement en Europe, mais pas aux USA où le titre ne sort qu’en face B du titre « Bad Girl ». Mais grâce au maxi-single, Fever atteint la 1ère place du Hot Dance/Club Play Chart.
Quant à la vidéo, elle est réalisée sur la version remixée « The Edit One » par Stephane Sednaoui. Un clip utilisant le rouge en couleur dominante et des images su succédant rapidement. Madonna est habillée en robe rouge, ou en robe Gaultier dorée, ou apparue nue sa peau couverte de peinture argent métal ! Un beau travail de réalisation.
